After much demand, the Canadian Army Newsreel tee shirt is back!

The newly redesigned t-shirt, proudly displays the opening title sequence from the only Allied Film Unit to produce their own newsreel on a weekly schedule during WWII.

“Produced by, of, and for the Canadian Army, the Canadian Army weekly newsreel is your newsreel. Its job is to portray faithfully the life of Canadian soldiers wherever they may be. They are shown from front line theatre to headquarters in Canada, to keep you posted on the deeds of Canada’s fighting Army.”

I am currently consulting with a local printer here in Ottawa, and taking requests to survey how many people are interested in purchasing a t-shirt. The image above serves as an example of the style of tee that I am looking for; something vintage looking, with a gritty ‘film-like’ texture to it. What do you think?

The more requests for t-shirts, the lower the cost will be that I can pass along to you, the customer. If you have been waiting to get your hands on a Canadian Army Newsreel tee, now is the time.

Please include how many, and in what sizes, so I can get an idea on how big the order will be when I go to the printer. Also, let me know where you are based; i.e. Canada; Netherlands; Italy; US; UK, etc.

NOTE: your email address will NEVER be shared with any other entity other than myself for survey purposes. Please use the Contact page to order HERE

I have a lot of exciting projects in mind, so stay posted for more t-shirt offerings, and designs!

  1. I’m an American military journalist and author from California. However, I would be proud to own and wear one of your tee-shirts. As an aside, my wife is a Canadian citizen, I look forward to hearing from you as to how I might be able to obtain one.

    • Hi Marc – I have added your contact details to the t-shirt list! More details coming soon… Thanks for your interest in the Canadian Army Film Unit!!! Dale
