George Nitschky was born in August, 1928, and enrolled in the School of Photography Course No. 8, at CFB Rockliffe, Ottawa, in January, 1948.
George initially planned on training as an Air Lines Mechanic, but opted to attend a four-month long course in the Photo Trade.
Topics covered included, optics, lighting, chemistry, processing, exposures, along with practical exercises.
