- Wartime Units & Theatres: Served in the United Kingdom and Italy. Notably attached to 405 Squadron (RCAF), the only Canadian squadron selected for the elite RAF Pathfinder Force.
- Wartime Equipment: Expertly operated and maintained the heavy RAF F24 aerial camera (used for bomb-damage assessment and target verification during Pathfinder operations) alongside the classic Speed Graphic press camera for ground-base operations and official crew portraits.
- Post-War Technical Career (1947–1968): Re-enlisted to modernize Cold War technical operations. Postings included RCAF Station Clinton (advanced electronics and radar photography), the Precis Production Unit at Camp Borden (producing visual graphics and photography for official military training manuals), and RCAF Station Trenton (public relations and logistics).
- Later Career: Left the Air Force in 1968 to serve as the campus photographer for the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC), transitioning a lifetime of military imaging skills to documenting the next generation of Canadian leaders.
